Ate Marriet’s Halo-Halo
Posted by admin on Dec 28, 2008I have a favorite Halo-Halo in my hometown back in the Philippines. It’s called “Marriet’s Halo-Halo”. Yes there are a lot of halo-halo (mix-mix) that are available in the market, but this one is my personal favorite. I liked the way it is made because it’s not commercially made. The ingredients are fresh and the mix of the ingredients’ flavor are perfect. This is best eaten when paired with puto cheese, kutchinta, palitao and various other Filipino delicacies. Yum! I missed eating those food. Can’t wait for my next visit in the Philippines.
This is the new dessert that was introduced by Goldilocks. The first time I saw its picture, I thought it was as delicious as how it appeared. Two rolls of shanghai wrapped halo-halo ingredients with a vanilla ice cream at the side, drizzled with chocolate syrup. Oooh.. it looks so yummy. But I was frustrated when I tried to order one. It was so sweet to the point that one could smell the aroma of the sugar that is mixed with the ingredients. Honestly, I wasn’t able to finish mine because I didn’t like it. I’m sorry to those who liked the food but I think it was the worst Halo-Halo that I have tasted in my whole life!
